John Adams is an expert data scientist with over 10 years of experience leveraging machine learning, advanced analytics and data visualization to help healthcare providers implement effective population health strategies.
As Director, Innovation and Voice of the Customer at Gray Matter Analytics, Mr. Adams is responsible for engaging with our customers as they are onboarded and/or innovation on features that are either not on our roadmap or are adjacent to our core value-based care solutions. He works on new innovations to add to our solution portfolio, and will also be responsible for rapidly prototyping innovative solutions to assess value prior to product development.
Prior to Gray Matter Analytics, Mr. Adams created and implemented a risk segmentation engine to guide clinicians in targeting individuals for health interventions across 14 state Medicaid markets, developed machine learning algorithms to enable an application to understand medical texts and patient interviews, providing likely diagnoses, assessing acuity and recommending dispositions and established sophisticated ad hoc reporting infrastructure to derive actionable insights for external clients using large amounts of data. He previously worked at the American Hospital Association, Centene Corporation and Baylor Health System.
Mr. Adams has an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and a BS in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin.
