Robert Friesen

Vice President, Strategic Product Development


Robert Friesen has over 35 years of experience in diverse consulting, corporate leadership and governance positions. While focused primarily on healthcare and its extended market, he has also worked across a diverse range of industries – AI, retail, food production, consumer products, transportation, architecture, wireless, private equity and venture capital.

As Vice President, Product at Gray Matter Analytics, Mr. Friesen leads the product team to refine its value-based reimbursement solution and identify additional uses for the analytics platform.

Mr. Friesen has led start-up software and telemedicine companies after building a base of business knowledge through strategy, M&A and public financing consulting at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), EY and KPMG.

Since 2005, he has served as CEO of PerformInsight, a strategy and operations consulting firm that has worked health industry clients as well as companies in other industries. He has been part of the advisory boards of for-profits such as healthio, Inc. (acquired by a global services company), CHC Wellbeing and Tempesta Artisan Salumi/ Tempesta Market.

Mr. Friesen has a bachelor’s degree from Beloit College, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Economics. He also received two post-graduate degrees: a Master of Arts in Psychology from Duquesne University and a Master of Health Administration from Duke University.
