David is passionate about connecting Gray Matter’s capabilities with our client’s unique strategic challenges. As Strategic Marketing Director, he is responsible for building our reputation and brand through thoughtful strategy and imaginative design.
David wears many hats while overseeing numerous areas of strategy, including business development, creative direction, and client experience.
With a deep corporate finance and investment management background, David understands how growth drivers in today’s modern economy include digital, technology and data. Always a problem solver, David combines design thinking with strategy and business analysis.
Through strategy, design and careful execution, he brings together financial & intellectual capital to grow business, build relationships, and drive operational efficiency.
Prior to Gray Matter Analytics, David worked at William Blair and Company, Bank of America, and CIT Group Inc.
David is a faculty member in Lewis University’s College of Business. His educational style inspires imagination and curiosity. His classes include corporate finance, investment analysis, quantitative methods, and portfolio management, at the graduate and undergraduate levels. To David, a good question is usually more valuable than simply finding the right answer.
David holds a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration from The Ohio State University, with a concentration in finance. He also holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. David is a Chartered Financial Analyst and belongs to the CFA Society of Chicago.
